Glen Schwaber - Partner

Glen is a Partner at Israel Cleantech Ventures and his investment interests are in crossover IT, solar, and power electronics and storage. He currently represents the firm on the boards of CellEra, Scodix, Vayyar and AccousticEye. Glen is a veteran venture capitalist, bringing with him 17 years of experience in Israeli technology finance.

Prior to joining the firm, Glen worked for 9 years first as an Associate (1998-2000) and then as a Partner (2000-2006) at Jerusalem Venture Partners (JVP), one of Israel's largest and most successful venture capital funds, where he led and co-led 15 investments on behalf of the fund, focusing on communications component and semiconductor companies. Glen was also responsible for setting up JVP's New York office where he was based between 2000-2002. On his return to Israel, he helped establish JVP Studio, a seed stage incubator investment vehicle, that is today home to exceptional seed stage companies focusing on software and media.

Glen began his career at Jerusalem Global Ltd., an Israeli merchant bank that was a leading source of private equity funding for Israeli tech companies during the 1990s. During his time there, Glen helped build and manage a team of consultants that developed business plans and conducted market research for some of Israel's leading communications and software start-ups. He also consulted to several well-established Israeli companies at the time including ECI Telecom, Tadiran Telecommunications and Israel Aircraft Industries.

Glen holds a Masters in Public Policy from the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University and a B.A. from Harvard College, where he graduated magna cum laude.

Personal Interests

Glen is married with five children and lives in Jerusalem. Glen moved to Israel in 1994, but remains an avid fan of his hometown Boston sports teams (Red Sox, Patriots, Celtics). 

He enjoys spending time outdoors with family and friends, whether playing softball, hiking, camping, skiing, or participating in the occasional triathlon.  Glen sits on the Advisory Board of Tmura, the Israeli Public Service Venture Fund which harnesses involvement of the high-tech community in non-profit activity in Israel, with a focus on education and youth initiatives.  He also co-founded Tasa, a professional business internship program for outstanding university students from the Ethiopian Israeli community.
